Wow its been a while

I have not been feeling the blog lately, maybe its because I have been wasting all my time on Farmtown!! lol Oh well, I have past on my addictions to others too hehe. So in the last month we have been pretty busy:

Kyla and I went to Utah was a gf to see her fam! The kids did amazing, I was worried for nothing. This is Kyla at the zoo!

Went camping at Writing-on-stone with friends in my grandpas trailer. Isn't family the best?

Then we went to the rodeo thanks to free tickets from the Asplunds.

Ps I don't know why its sideways, it isn't in my album.

And today we went to the Okotoks parade! ( sorry no picts yet)

Oh and did I mention while I was in Utah my basement was starting to be finished. It is still a work in progress, but at least its in progress! I need to pictures of that too.

And last but not least I started cleaning houses for a little extra dough! Well not really extra cuz my maternity leave ended, but u get the point. It has actually gone really well. The houses are gorgeous and pretty clean before I get there.

Anyways thats a little update. Next weekend we are headed to Andreas wedding, I am sure she is going to be gorgeous. Then we are going to Wasa, BC to go camping. It should be a fun busy weekend.

Primary Love=)

So I finally have a calling- Sunbeams. They decided that needed two teachers and I am the second. Yesterday was my first day and their teacher was gone!! So it was a sub and I, neither of us knew a thing! It was soo funny. The kids wiggled and giggled, I was trying to keep them distracted when I saw past them the CTR 5s. They did not have teacher at all and it showed. I quietly walked over and sat with them (which was a little difficult to do while holding the wiggliest Sunbeam on my lap). As Primary went on I remember how special and loving little children are=)
Here are some examples:
1) They all argued about who got to sit by me!! Or on me!!
2) When they were shhhed there frows would turn to a smile if you added a please
3) Someone was always holding my hand
4) They all asked me to stay and be their teacher
5) None of them noticed the teddy grahams smeered on my shirt

It would sure be nice if we all were like that. I can't wait to see them all again.

Mother's Day

So I have been reading everyone's awesome, inspiring Mother's Day blogs and I fell a little silly. I have never liked this 'holiday'. Growing up I was not close with my mom, in fact most of my favorite people were men (my dad, cousins and grandpas).

It only seems appropriate that on my first Mother's Day Kendall would forget and I would spend the day helping my Dad brand calves. What can you say I always do things a little different!

I do LOVE being a mom. I love my little girl more than I thought possible, especially right now she is showing so much more personality. It is so amazing to watch her change and grow. I feel so lucky that I have been trusted with her sweet little spirit, I only hope I don't mess her up too much=)

Twilight

Well I finally joined the club. When are of you were reading the Twilight books I silently sat there shaking my head. I was soo tired of all the Edward talk. Oh he's so perfect, so dreamy... blah, blah. But then I was tricked!!! Well not exactly Meagan simply offered to lend me her copy. How could refuse, now I didn't have to buy the book AND if there happened to be a DVD shin-dig I would be invited. Well four days later I had: read all 4 book (I went and bought them), slept a total of 20 hours, lost 5 pounds and neglected everything/one else in my world. AND I loved them, I am not in love with Edward though I think that is just weird. So when the movie came out I went and bought it! My sister in law had said it was terrible, but others liked it. I was prepared to not be totally impressed, but man it was even worse then I could've imagined. It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen! The pace was so slow I almost lost my mind and the acting was so horrible/cheesy that I wanted to gag!! Oh well back to ready in the Edward Twilight=)
